For all afterschool programs, transportation/chaperones are provided from Upper Blue and Breckenridge Elementary. Students not attending Breckenridge schools are encouraged to participate but need to provide their own transportation.

Afterschool All Sorts of Sports (Ages 5-12)

All Sorts of Sports introduces kids to a variety new sports like dodgeball, floor hockey and other fun games in these exciting, interactive sessions! Session 1 focuses on kickball, dodgeball and floor hockey. Session 2 focuses on dodgeball and floor hockey. Please have your child wear comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle to the program. This is a five-week session-based program (5 classes total each session), no drop-ins allowed.

Afterschool Beginner Tumbling (Ages 5-12)

The goal of this tumbling class is to improve tumbling ability and to keep moving with momentum. Tumbling skills taught in this course include round offs, cartwheels in series, front walkovers followed by round offs, back handsprings, or back tucks. This is a fast moving environment involving performance tasks such as cartwheel races, synchronized tumbling and creating tumbling lines. A solid cartwheel, forward and back rolls and a bridge kick are recommended but not required skills needed for this class.

Afterschool Mountain Biking (Ages 8-13)

Biking season in Breckenridge isn't over yet! Let's keep those bikes rolling and put the rubber to the dirt. Each Wednesday we head out to a select Summit County trail to ride and refine our skills on the bike while enjoying the beautiful scenery the high country has to offer. All participants must have a way to carry their own water, a helmet, have some prior mountain biking experience, an appropriate and well-tuned bike and are strongly encouraged to bring a snack, rain gear and an extra layer.No Class 9/11.

***Parents: Please plan on making arrangements to drop off your child's mountain bike, helmet, and other equipment at the Breckenridge Recreation Center Multipurpose Room***

Afterschool Basketball (Ages 5-12)

Dribble, shoot and pass! Take advantage of this fun afterschool program that also helps develop your basketball skills. Open to boys and girls -- all ability levels are welcome. Participants learn the fundamentals of a great game!

Youth Flag Football League (Ages 7-12)

Come join us on Monday nights for some fun 5 on 5 flag football action! The league takes place at the Kingdom Park North Field located at the Breckenridge Recreation Center. The first two weeks we work on football skills and strategies. The remaining four weeks of the season consists of a 30 minute practice and a 45 minute game. The 2nd and 3rd grade division plays from 5:00-6:15 pm. The 4th and 5th grader division plays 6:15-7:30pm.

Volunteer coaches are needed for this program. If you are interested, please contact Vince at vinceh@townofbreckenridge.com. We will use the same jerseys as last year. If you need a NEW Jersey, please be sure to order one at the time of registration.
