If it's your first time on the ice or you are a seasoned competitor, our dedicated team of coaches offers a group or individual learning experience to improve your skating. Basic lessons are below, along with specialized instruction.
Intermediate and advanced choreography and skating performance instruction prepares for biannual public ice skating shows and competitions.

Individualized instruction for all levels geared toward the participant's schedule and specialized goals. Meet the coaches that teach our private and group lessons.
Skaters receiving instruction at Stephen C. West Ice Arena are required to pay a one-time annual membership fee to LEARN TO SKATE USA by clicking here. This ensures membership, additional skating information and benefits as a skater in the program. USFS Basic Skills program is for recreational, figure and hockey skaters.
Youth Evening Ice Skating Lessons (Ages 3-12)Summit County kids need to know how to ice skate, so come learn with our fun, engaging instructors at the Stephen C. West Ice Arena! Convenient Tuesday evening classes make it easy to work around busy summer schedules. Participants are divided into groups based on age and skill level for lessons on the indoor rink. Classes include Snowplow Sam and Basic Skills classes from the United States Figure Skating Basic Skills Program.
