The Town of Breckenridge, in partnership with the Keystone Science School, Family Intercultural Resources Center (FIRC), Summit County Youth and Family Services, Summit School District and the Summit Foundation, is pleased to offer CATCH Afterschool Kids Club at the Breckenridge Recreation Center.

CATCH stands for "Coordinated Approach to Child Health". This afterschool program is designed to promote healthy physical activity and eating behaviors in children. It aims to equip children with the knowledge and skills to make healthy decisions, all while having fun!  Each day a healthy snack is served and the children participate in a nutrition lesson followed by various exercises and non-elimination games.

CATCH participation fees are based on a sliding scale. CATCH is partly subsidized by grants and in-kind donations, keeping the program affordable for all.

If your child is enrolled in CATCH as a Free & Reduced lunch participant, you MUST submit proof of qualification for this program by: 1. Submitting a printed copy of the letter stating your child’s acceptance into the Free or Reduced cost meal program to Terrin Abell, Youth Programs Coordinator OR 2. Forwarding your child’s Free or Reduced cost acceptance letter/email to terrina@townofbreckenridge.com.

If your child is enrolled in CATCH as a CHP+ participant, you MUST submit proof by submitting a copy of your child’s CHP+, Medicaid, or Medicare health care card by: 1. Making a photo copy of your child’s health card and giving this to your child’s afterschool program coordinator OR 2. Emailing a scanned copy of your child’s card to terrina@townofbreckenridge.com.

CATCH at the Breckenridge Recreation Center is available to students who attend Breckenridge Elementary and Upper Blue Elementary. Children are transported or chaperoned by CATCH staff from school to the Breckenridge Recreation Center.
