The 88,000 square foot Breckenridge Recreation Center was renovated in 2018 and offers a variety of athletic and community activities rarely found in a community of this size. We've tripled our fitness space, primarily located in a new fitness wing with expanded cardio deck, weight room, circuit training space, Baker's Tank suspension training studio, and Wheeler cycling studio. A third fitness studio, indoor turf gym and youth wing with indoor playground was also added.
The Recreation Center is also home to a gymnasium, racquetball court, indoor rock climbing wall, indoor track, aerobic/dance studios and community meeting room with kitchen, The aquatics area renovated in 2024 features lap and leisure pools, play feature, two slides, family warming tub, lazy river, coed sauna and steam room, and outdoor hot tub.
Outdoor amenities include the Breckenridge Tennis Center, lighted softball fields, turf and grass soccer/rugby fields, playgrounds, public restrooms, basketball courts and skateboard park..
The Recreation Center is open to residents and visitors daily. The front desk stocks a great selection of canned/bottled beverages and packaged snacks. It is located at the north end of Town and is easily accessible via the Breckenridge Free Ride Transit System or the Blue River Bikeway.
