Independence Day 10K Trail Run (Ages 10 & Up)

Don't miss this favorite kick-off to the 4th of July weekend! This scenic 10K trail running race offers up some of the best views in the Breckenridge area, while finishing just in time to catch the Main Street parade and other festivities. The race is limited to 500 people and usually sells out in June. Registered racers receive a technical race tee. There is one aid station along the course. Restrooms are available at the start and finish of the race. A completed Sports Waiver is required before the start of the Run. Please note, a cutoff time of 9:15am is enforced on this race.

Please see FAQs for early bib and packet pick up on Monday-Tuesday July 2-3. Packets may also be picked up starting at 6:00am before the start of the race. If the event is not full, same-day registration begins at 6:00am Wednesday, July 4, at Carter Park. No credit card payments are accepted for same-day registration, cash or check only.

Recreation Department volunteers are the backbone of a event. Participants may encounter volunteers along the course, at registration, at the finish line, and at post-race parties and events. Racers are expected to interact with volunteers in a professional and respectful manner. Should an event participant demonstrate inappropriate or abusive behavior toward any volunteer, s/he may be suspended from future Town of Breckenridge Recreation Department events.
