The 1,800-foot Breckenridge Kayak Park was constructed in 2001 with Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) grant assistance with the goals of restoring an important section of the Blue River and developing a seasonal kayak park.

The park currently includes 15 water features that challenge all levels of boaters. It is located in the Blue River, just east of the Recreation Center and is open free of charge as conditions permit. It generally flows May through August, with a primary boating timeframe of May-June.

Equipment rentals are available at local outfitters. 

• Location: The park is on the Blue River, directly east of the Breckenridge Recreation Center at 880 Airport Road, and adjacent to Highway 9 on the north side of Breckenridge.
• Hours: 4 hours per day (please note the park is not lighted).
