Quickstick Lacrosse Tournament (Ages 18 & Up)

Back again for its 19th year, the Men's Quickstick Lacrosse Tournament comes to the High Country for two days of intense play. The 2017 Quickstick Lacrosse Tournament features a competitive bracket only. The competitive bracket tournament is for teams who play at a higher, more intense level, ages 18 and older. All teams must register by Sunday, July 2 by 9:00pm - no exceptions! Team captains are responsible for collecting rosters and Sports Waivers before the start of the tournament.

Battle on the Blue Skate Competition (All Ages)

The Breckenridge Recreation Department, along with Sk8-Strong, present the Second Annual Battle on the Blue Skateboard Competition! Compete in three different divisions, Juniors Boys and Girls, Mens and Womens, and Masters Mens and Womens (ages 40 and over) in street and bowl competitions with prizes awarded to top finishers in each division. This event is geared towards all levels of skateboarders, from those who are just beginning, to those who have been riding. First place from each event will receive an automatic entry to the semi-finals of the Rocky Mountain rampage! Professional Skaters will be in attendance on Friday for instructional mini-camps and will be back on Saturday to give tips and pointers throughout the competition (instruction fee included in competition price).

Day of registration will start at 8am on Saturday at the outdoor tennis facility or inside the recreation center. The Junior Boys and Girls will compete in the morning starting at 9:00am. Open Mens and Womens and Masters Mens and Womens will start at 1:00pm. NOTE: Sunday, July 23rd is the rain make-up day should inclement weather impact the Saturday competition. Helmets are required for all skaters under 18 and highly recommended for all other participants. Please pre-register online to avoid waiting in line the morning of the event!

Breckenridge Fencing Club (Ages 8 & Up)

The classic sport of fencing is now available in Breckenridge!  Our adult/junior beginner drop-in sessions are structured for anyone ages 8 and older. This introductory class teaches participants the basics and fundamentals of fencing.  Participants are responsible for securing their own equipment, however, some equipment is available through the Recreation Center. Please contact the Sports Coordinator for information (contact information is below).  

Participants may drop-in for designated drop-in sessions. Please pay drop-in fees and purchase punch passes at the Front Desk.

Private lessons may be purchased with a 20-session punch pass for $85. To schedule a private lesson, please contact the Sports Coordinator at 547-4321 or via email.
