If it's your first time on the ice or you are a seasoned competitor, our dedicated team of coaches offers a group or individual learning experience to improve your skating. Basic lessons are below, along with specialized instruction.
Intermediate and advanced choreography and skating performance instruction prepares for biannual public ice skating shows and competitions.

Youth Evening Ice Skating Lessons (Ages 3-12)Summit County kids need to know how to ice skate, so come learn with our fun, engaging instructors at the Stephen C. West Ice Arena! Convenient Tuesday evening classes make it easy to work around busy afterschool schedules. Participants are divided into groups based on age and skill level for lessons on the indoor rink. Classes include Snowplow Sam and Basic Skills classes from the United States Figure Skating Basic Skills Program.

Afterschool Ice Skating Lessons (Ages 5-12)Returning this school year on Mondays and Fridays! Register early - this program will fill! Maximum class capacity is 18.
Grades K-5 are divided into appropriate groups based on their current skating skills. The goal of this program is to introduce new students to skating and to improve skills of returning students. Figure skates or hockey skates - it's your choice! All are welcome, and coaches work with small groups in order to ensure learning and FUN! On Mondays, students participate in a 30-minute skating lesson followed by free-skate time to practice their new skills.
Lesson includes transportation within Breckenridge, skate rental and helmet (students may bring their own equipment). Monday students are also provided a snack. Students are expected to dress warm with a jacket and gloves. Snow pants are recommended. AND yes...please make sure children are wearing socks. No drop-ins, please.
Transportation is provided from Upper Blue and Breckenridge Elementary. Students not attending Breckenridge schools are encouraged to participate but need to provide their own transportation.
