Li'l Shredders Skateboard Camp (Ages 4-5)

Is your preschooler itching to get on a skateboard and try out the Breckenridge Skate Park? Sign up your future li'l shredder in our morning skateboarding classes! Our experienced coaching staff teach kids the right way to get started and teach the basics of the sport in a fun and controlled environment. Before you know it, your li'l shredder will be riding like a pro!

This program is open to boys and girls of all abilities. All participants must have a skateboard and helmet. Elbow and knee pads are optional, but recommended. Skateboard, helmet and pad rentals are available for $22 for the session. Please complete the online waiver for this program prior to your session.

Campers that are 5 years-old can enjoy a full day of fun by joining Breckenridge Mountain Camp for the afternoon. Click here for more information on half-day BMC. Campers may also attend the BMC field trip on Wednesday.

Breck Skateboard Camp (Ages 6-14)

Skate camps return to the Breckenridge Skate Park this summer with our exceptional instructors teaching you how to ride the bowls and shred the street.

Camps are open to boys and girls of all abilities. All participants must have a skateboard and helmet. Elbow and knee pads are optional, but recommended. Please complete the online waiver for this program prior to your session. Need equipment? Limited skateboard, helmet and pad packages are available for $22 for the week.

All Day Skateboard Camp (Ages 6-14)

Is your child always up for a day at the skate park? All Day Skate Camp is the perfect opportunity for your son/daughter to hang out at the Breck Skate Park all day with our trained staff and continue to work on and improve their skateboarding. All Day Skate Camp spends time skating in the park, participating in other activities, and on certain days, traveling to other skate parks in the county. All experience levels are welcomed. Camp runs rain or shine.

All participants must have a skateboard, a helmet, water, and a lunch. Elbow and knee pads are optional, but recommended. Limited skateboard, helmet, and pad rentals are available for $5 per day.  Click here to complete the required online waiver for skateboard programs..

Battle on the Blue Skate Competition (All Ages)

The Breckenridge Recreation Department, along with Sk8-Strong, present the Second Annual Battle on the Blue Skateboard Competition! Compete in three different divisions, Juniors Boys and Girls, Mens and Womens, and Masters Mens and Womens (ages 40 and over) in street and bowl competitions with prizes awarded to top finishers in each division. This event is geared towards all levels of skateboarders, from those who are just beginning, to those who have been riding. First place from each event will receive an automatic entry to the semi-finals of the Rocky Mountain rampage! Professional Skaters will be in attendance on Friday for instructional mini-camps and will be back on Saturday to give tips and pointers throughout the competition (instruction fee included in competition price).

Day of registration will start at 8am on Saturday at the outdoor tennis facility or inside the recreation center. The Junior Boys and Girls will compete in the morning starting at 9:00am. Open Mens and Womens and Masters Mens and Womens will start at 1:00pm. NOTE: Sunday, July 23rd is the rain make-up day should inclement weather impact the Saturday competition. Helmets are required for all skaters under 18 and highly recommended for all other participants. Please pre-register online to avoid waiting in line the morning of the event!

Private and Custom Group Skateboarding Lessons 

Are you already a good boarder but looking to get even better? Do you keep working on that special trick but can’t seem to get it right? Do you prefer a one-on-one learning environment? Then check out our private skateboard lessons! Our quality instructors will have you riding your best in no time. The fee is $35 per hour for one person. Each additional person is an extra $5 with a maximum of 4 people per lesson. Call the Outdoor Programs Coordinator at (970) 547-4324 for scheduling.
Fee: $35 per hour for first person; $5 per additional person.
