Afterschool SHOWTIME Figure Skating Begins

  • Date: 01/15/2018 3:30 PM - 5:15 PM
Has your child completed several classes of our ice skating lessons and is ready for the next step in the skating world? Enroll him or her in our Showtime program for a chance to perform in front of an audience. Figure or hockey doesn't matter! All that's needed is for your child to want to shake her/his booty and to learn choreography to a skating routine to be performed in the Spring Exhibition held this Spring! Basic skating skills are required for this class. USFS Basic Skills level 4 preferred. For questions regarding skating ability, please contact the Ice Programs Coordinator at (970) 547-7883. Students skate with an instructor on the OUTDOOR ice rink to learn new skating skills and choreography. Skate rental is included in program fee. Please be sure that your child dresses accordingly as all classes meet on the OUTDOOR rink. This includes socks, snow pants, jacket, hat and gloves. Participants are expected to attend all 8 class dates, as it is very important to be present when learning and practicing choreography. Skaters are required to pay a one-time annual membership fee to LEARN TO SKATE USA by following the link below. This ensures membership, additional skating information and benefits as a skater in the program. USFS Basic Skills program is for recreational, figure and hockey skaters. Transportation is provided from Upper Blue and Breckenridge Elementary. Students not attending Breckenridge schools are encouraged to participate but need to provide their own transportation. This session is held January 15-February 26. NO CLASS Feb 12. 3:30-5:15pm.
